In the late hours of a Thursday in Newark, tragedy befell a young man from Irvington. Lance Henry, a 21-year-old male, was in the 700 block of South 18th Street just after 11:30 p.m. on February 12, 2015, when he was fatally shot. Police responded to a report of a shooting and found Henry at the scene. He was pronounced dead where he lay.

The Essex County Prosecutor's Office identified Henry as the victim of the fatal shooting. At the time of the initial reports, a motive for the shooting ...
