In the late hours of a Thursday in Newark, tragedy befell a young man from Irvington. Lance Henry, a 21-year-old male, was in the 700 block of South 18th Street just after 11:30 p.m. on February 12, 2015, when he was fatally shot. Police responded to a report of a shooting and found Henry at the scene. He was pronounced dead where he lay.
The Essex County Prosecutor's Office identified Henry as the victim of the fatal shooting.
