On a Monday evening in Irvington, New Jersey, a 57-year-old gas station attendant named Ashiwin Patel was shot and killed. The incident occurred shortly before 8 p.m. on October 26, 2015, at the Getty gas station on Stuyvesant Avenue where Patel was working.
