In the late hours of a Saturday night in November 2015, the city of Newark was pierced by the sound of multiple gunshots, a tragic but not uncommon occurrence. This particular volley of bullets, however, would claim the life of 22-year-old Najee Daniels, a male resident of Newark. The shooting took place in the South Ward, in the area of Bergen Street and Clinton Avenue, ironically just a short distance from the city's police headquarters.
