In the evening hours of March 28, 2016, the life of 24-year-old Michael Burrell Jr. was tragically cut short on a street in Camden, New Jersey. Around 7:45 p.m., the sound of gunfire pierced the air in the 500 block of Jackson Street. When police arrived, alerted by the ShotSpotter system, they found Burrell lying on the sidewalk, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
