In the late afternoon of a summer day, a burst of violence shattered the peace on a street in East Orange, New Jersey. On Thursday, July 28, 2016, at approximately 2:15 p.m., Tahji Hale, a 28-year-old male from Montclair, was fatally shot in the 100 block of Park Street. Emergency services and law enforcement were called to the scene, where they found Mr. Hale suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite any medical intervention, he succumbed to his injuries.
