In the Cramer Hill section of Camden, New Jersey, a neighborhood grappling with the persistent specter of violence, 43-year-old Luis Anibal Lopez was fatally shot on the evening of December 3, 2016. At approximately 7:25 p.m., while walking to a corner store on East State Street, he was struck by gunfire. Officers responding to the scene found him lying in the street. He was quickly transported to Cooper University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later at 7:49 p.m.
