In the winter of 2018, the life of 20-year-old Wesley L. McAdams Jr. of Irvington was tragically cut short in a fatal shooting in Newark, New Jersey. On the afternoon of Saturday, January 27th, gunfire erupted in the 200 block of West Runyon Street in the city's South Ward. McAdams was struck in the chest by a bullet.
