In the winter of 2018, the life of Jaquille Cook, a 22-year-old Black/African American man from Salem, New Jersey, was tragically cut short. On the evening of Thursday, February 15, 2018, Cook was fatally wounded by gunfire in his hometown. His death, a result of gun violence, sent ripples through the community. Born on August 3, 1995, Jaquille was a young man whose future was abruptly extinguished.
