In the late summer evening of August 25, 2018, the community of Paulsboro, New Jersey, was shaken by the violent death of 21-year-old Davontae Randall. A Black/African American male and a former standout wrestler for Paulsboro High School, Randall was found with multiple gunshot wounds at a residence on West Buck Street around 6:45 p.m. He was rushed to Inspira Medical Center in Woodbury, where he was pronounced dead.
