On May 9, 2001, Rashaun Julius Nelson, a 21-year-old resident of Paulsboro, New Jersey, was found shot to death on West Buck Street in the early morning hours. Nelson had been riding his bicycle when he was confronted by two men. After a brief encounter, he was fatally shot in the head. His body was found with cocaine and cash, leading investigators to believe robbery was not the motive behind the killing.
