In the early hours of an April morning in 2019, the life of 47-year-old Niles L. Mayo was cut short by violence on a Newark street. At approximately 2:27 a.m. on April 9th, a fatal event unfolded in the 700 block of 20th Street that would leave a family and community searching for answers.
