On the evening of October 7, 2019, the life of 27-year-old Faheem Muhammad, a Black/African American male from Newark, New Jersey, was tragically cut short. Just before 7:50 p.m., in the city's South Ward, the sound of multiple gunshots pierced the air near the intersection of Wainwright Street and Lyons Avenue. When police arrived at the scene, they discovered Muhammad's lifeless body. He was officially pronounced dead a short time later at University Hospital.
