In the late afternoon of a Wednesday in Newark, New Jersey, tragedy struck on the 900 block of 18th Avenue. On March 25, 2020, Jumar T. Miranda, a 22-year-old male, was caught in a burst of gunfire that erupted at approximately 4:41 p.m. He was not the sole victim of the violence that shattered the day; two other men were also struck by bullets in the triple shooting.
