In the quiet suburban town of East Hanover, New Jersey, a domestic tragedy unfolded on March 26, 2020, ending the life of 71-year-old Lilia Jacobs. On that Thursday afternoon, a distress call to 911 from the Jacobs' daughter shattered the neighborhood's peace. She reported a domestic dispute involving a gun at their Selmar Terrace home. When police arrived, they found Alexander Jacobs, then 74, outside the residence.
