In the early hours of an August morning in Newark, New Jersey, tragedy struck a group of young men. Tyrese McNeil, an 18-year-old male, was in the vicinity of 186 North 12th Street when gunfire erupted shortly before 1:00 a.m. The chaos of the moment left five individuals wounded, their lives abruptly altered by the sudden violence that shattered the quiet of the North Ward neighborhood.
