In the late hours of a cold Tuesday evening, just before midnight on December 1, 2020, the life of 27-year-old Robert Angel Figueroa was tragically cut short. A Hispanic male from Newark, New Jersey, he was on the 100-block of Mt. Pleasant Avenue when gunfire erupted. The violence of that moment left him with fatal injuries, and he was pronounced dead at the scene in the early minutes of the following day, December 2, 2020, at approximately 12:09 a.m.
