On a cold December evening in Jersey City, New Jersey, the life of Aieshia McFadden, a 36-year-old African-American mother of four, was tragically cut short. On December 4, 2020, while walking with one of her daughters, McFadden was shot and killed outside a liquor store on Martin Luther King Drive. The vibrant cafeteria worker at Lincoln High School, known for her love for her children and her lively personality, was pronounced dead at Jersey City Medical Center later that night.
