In the winter of 2025, the life of 15-year-old Cianna Lee, a female who had moved to the United States from Jamaica for a brighter future, was tragically cut short in a senseless act of violence in Jersey City, New Jersey. On the night of Saturday, January 18th, Cianna was in a car with her 37-year-old stepmother, returning home after a celebratory family dinner. As they were driving near Martin Luther King Drive and Union Street, their vehicle was struck by gunfire.
