In the late hours of a Tuesday night in Newark, tragedy struck a young man from the neighboring community of Irvington. Gregory Scott, a 27-year-old male, was on the 100 block of Lehigh Avenue on August 2, 2022, when he was targeted in a fatal shooting. Newark Police officers responded to the scene at approximately 11:17 p.m. to find Scott suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
