In the early morning hours of Saturday, October 8, 2022, a report of a gunshot on the 600 block of Broadway in Newark, New Jersey, summoned police to a scene of violence. There they found Jordan Feliciano Rodriguez, a 31-year-old male, suffering from a fatal gunshot wound. He was rushed to University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 3:49 a.m. The Essex County Prosecutor's Office Homicide/Major Crimes Task Force immediately launched an investigation into the shooting.
