Raymond Hautala, aged 49, tragically lost his life on March 16, 1968, in Ironwood, Michigan. The incident occurred during a violent spree by Eric Pearson, a 56-year-old woodcutter who also worked as a janitor. On that fateful night, Pearson went on a rampage with a high-powered deer rifle, resulting in the deaths of seven individuals and the critical wounding of two others.
