Rudolph Maurin, aged 56, tragically lost his life on March 16, 1968, in Ironwood, Michigan, during a horrific shooting spree. The incident occurred at the Lake Road (Hautala) Tavern in Ironwood Township. Maurin was one of several victims in what became one of the most gruesome crimes in the history of the Gogebic Range and the Midwest.
