Shirley Sailor, born on August 31, 1946, tragically died on October 21, 1974, in Highland Park, Michigan. She was the common-law wife of the renowned urban fiction novelist Donald Goines. On the evening of October 21, 1974, the police received an anonymous phone call that led them to the couple's apartment in Highland Park.
