Craig A. Scott, a 28-year-old Michigan State Trooper, tragically lost his life on February 9, 1982, in Ingham County, Michigan. On that fateful day, Trooper Scott was conducting a traffic patrol on US-127, just south of the Ingham/Jackson County line. Around 1 p.m., he observed a red 1974 Camaro speeding northbound on the highway. Trooper Scott pursued the vehicle and managed to stop it south of Leslie, Michigan.
