Casey Kay Paulson, an 8-year-old girl from Allendale, Michigan, tragically lost her life on March 13, 1982, in a horrific incident that shook the community. Casey, along with her family members, was brutally murdered by Maris Karklins, a man who later described himself as a "hit man for God." Karklins, a draftsman from Grand Rapids, Michigan, was convicted of the murders of Casey, her father Robert Paulson (42), her mother Mary Jane Paulson (40), and her sisters Cynthia (18) and Carla (13) .
