On December 21, 2015, Anatoliy Glavnik, aged 57, was shot and killed in his home during a home invasion on Jacksonville's Southside. The incident occurred on Skycrest Drive, not far from Windy Hill Elementary School. A suspect broke into the residence by kicking in the front door and confronted Glavnik, his daughter, and grandson.
