Cynthia Renate “Cindy” Paulson, an 18-year-old Caucasian female, tragically lost her life on March 13, 1982, in what would become a horrific and senseless act of violence that shook the small community of Allendale, Michigan. Cindy was not the sole victim of this tragedy; her entire family perished alongside her. Her father, Robert Paulson, 42, his wife Mary Jane, 40, and Cindy’s younger sisters, 13-year-old Carla and 8-year-old Casey, were all brutally murdered in their own home.
