In the quiet pre-dawn hours of November 16, 1983, sixteen-year-old Sheri Jo Elliott, a White female, left her home on Seneca Street in Flint, Michigan, for the last time. It was 6:30 a.m., and she was on her way to her school bus stop near the intersection of West Dartmouth and Clio Roads, a routine walk that ended in a tragedy that has haunted the community for decades.
