Kathleen Patricia Gouldin, aged 23, tragically lost her life on July 4, 1989. On the night before her death, Kathleen spent time with her family, enjoying a meal of crabs at their home in Elkridge, Maryland. The following morning, her sister discovered her lifeless body in her apartment, located less than half a mile from their family home. Kathleen had been shot once in the chest with a shotgun through her bedroom window and was subsequently sexually assaulted as she lay bleeding.
