On February 27, 2018, in Southfield, Michigan, 46-year-old Dana Brye was tragically killed in an apparent murder-suicide involving her ex-husband, 53-year-old Avery Brye. The incident occurred at the Evergreen Meadows Apartment complex on Evergreen Road, just south of I-696. Police responded to a welfare check around 11:50 p.m. and discovered Dana deceased behind the wheel of her vehicle, with Avery's body found nearby.
