Ada Mae Simmons-Jones, 45, a Black woman, was found fatally shot inside her Southfield, Michigan home on Bainbridge Drive late on Sunday, October 5, 2025. Officers responding around 11:39 p.m. discovered her with multiple gunshot wounds and pronounced her dead at the scene, beginning an investigation that quickly focused on someone she knew.
