James Isom, a 25-year-old from Detroit, Michigan, tragically lost his life on March 11, 1997. The circumstances surrounding his death were both shocking and complex. James was employed at a Comerica Bank branch in Detroit when a gunman, identified as Allen Griffin Jr., entered the bank and opened fire. The incident resulted in the deaths of both James Isom and the branch manager, Stanley Pijanowski.
