On a tragic day in Detroit, Michigan, 25-year-old James Isom's life was cut short in a violent outburst at his place of employment. On March 11, 1997, a gunman, later identified as 21-year-old Allen Lane Griffin Jr., entered the Comerica Bank branch where Isom worked and opened fire. The chaotic scene unfolded as Griffin, armed with a 12-gauge pump-action shotgun, began a shooting spree that would leave three people dead, including himself, and two others wounded.
