On October 11, 2000, the life of 42-year-old Christopher Michael Wouters, a White male, was tragically cut short inside the very place he had dedicated 19 years to serving: the Warren Police Department. A detective at the time, Wouters was posthumously promoted to the rank of sergeant in recognition of his ultimate sacrifice.
