In the summer of 2014, the life of Deontia Jaquawn Hall, a 26-year-old Black male from Flint, Michigan, was tragically cut short. On July 19, Hall was fatally shot in a violent incident that shook his community. The circumstances surrounding his death were immediately classified as a murder, launching a full-scale investigation by the Flint Police Department.
