James Scott Davis was found dead inside a Flint home on Saturday, January 24, 2015, after police were called to the 2700 block of North Stevenson Street near Forest Hill Avenue at about 11:30 a.m. He was a 45-year-old African American man. Flint police identified him as the victim of a fatal shooting discovered inside the residence, turning an ordinary late-morning call into a homicide scene that would leave more questions than answers.
