In the biting cold of a February night in Detroit, the life of Roderick 'BJ' Jones, a 33-year-old male, was tragically cut short. Jones, a man who had dedicated his life to service, first as an Army Ranger veteran and then as a Highland Park Reserve Officer, was working a security detail at the Opyum Lounge Nightclub on 8 Mile and Telegraph.
