In the quiet of a February morning in Eaton Rapids Township, Michigan, a situation unfolded that would end in the death of 32-year-old Matthew Lundy. On February 17, 2015, deputies from the Eaton County Sheriff's Office were involved in an encounter with Lundy, a resident of nearby Charlotte.
During this interaction, three deputies were present, and two of them discharged their firearms, fatally wounding Lundy.
The events leading up to the shooting were captured on body cameras worn by the officers. These recordings became a crucial piece of evidence in the subsequent investigation into the fatal incident.
