On the evening of Wednesday, April 30, 2025, violence erupted on the West Side of Saginaw, Michigan, resulting in the untimely death of 41-year-old Black / African American resident Michael Wayne Carroll Jr. The incident took place just after 6:00 p.m. near the intersection of South Michigan Avenue and Wayne Street.
