In the winter of 2016, the life of 21-year-old D'Andre Allen Phelps, a Black male from Flint Township, Michigan, was tragically cut short. On January 28, Phelps was fatally shot in a violent incident that would leave his community seeking answers and justice. He was rushed to Hurley Medical Center in Flint, but succumbed to his injuries.
