young man with a bright future ahead of him. He was studying automotive mechanics at Grand Rapids Community College and had aspirations of one day owning his own business. Family and friends remember him as a kind and selfless individual who was devoted to his family, his faith, and self-improvement. He enjoyed working out, reading the Bible, and cooking for his loved ones. His sister described him as 'an angel' and the 'most selfless person.'
The Kentwood Police Department opened an investigation into the shooting, but as of late 2024, no arrests have been made, and no suspects have been publicly identified. The motive for the shooting remains unclear. In their relentless pursuit of justice, the family of Martinez-Ramirez has taken proactive steps to bring attention to his case. They have organized fundraisers and, with the help of Silent Observer, have offered a $10,000 reward for any information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for his death. His family has also put up a billboard with his picture in the hope that someone will come forward with information.
