In the summer of 2016, a joyous block party in Pontiac, Michigan, turned into a scene of tragedy, forever altering the lives of one family. Andre Isiah Maurice Shaw, a 36-year-old Black male known affectionately as 'Lil Dre,' was attending the gathering on Michigan Avenue, near Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, on the evening of July 2nd.
