On May 8, 2023, 66-year-old Wyatt Earp Gean of Pontiac, Michigan, was fatally shot following an argument in the 700 block of Whittemore Street shortly before 3 a.m. Responding officers found Gean with a gunshot wound to the chest; he was transported to a local hospital but succumbed to his injuries during surgery.
