In the late afternoon of June 13, 2025, Thomas Jerrell Washington, a 26-year-old male from Pontiac, Michigan, was the victim of a fatal drive-by shooting near the intersection of Auburn Avenue and Russell Street in his hometown. Witnesses reported that a man in a gray vehicle fired multiple shots before driving away. First responders found Washington with gunshot wounds to his wrist and back. He was transported to a local hospital with a weak pulse but ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
