On February 15, 2023, Donald James Whitfield, a 41-year-old resident of Pontiac, Michigan, was found fatally shot in his apartment. The incident occurred around 10:15 PM at the North Hill Farms Apartment Complex on Fireside Lane. Upon arrival, deputies from the Oakland County Sheriff's Office discovered Whitfield unconscious on the floor with a gunshot wound to his chest. Despite immediate life-saving efforts by emergency medical personnel, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
