In the early afternoon of Saturday, April 11, 2026, tragedy struck in a Pontiac, Michigan neighborhood. Kevonte Javon Smith, a 28-year-old man, was found lying in a driveway in the 100 block of Crystal Lake Drive at approximately 2:15 p.m. He had sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the back and was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident unfolded during what authorities have described as an apparent robbery.
