In the winter of 2017, the life of 18-year-old Kevonte O'Neal Washington, a Black male, was tragically cut short in his hometown of Flint, Michigan. On the afternoon of Saturday, January 7th, violence erupted on Churchill Avenue, resulting in a quadruple shooting that would leave the community reeling and a family mourning the loss of a young man known for his love of basketball, video games, and spending time with his loved ones.
