In the spring of 2017, the life of Tarrel Lavon Pounds, a 30-year-old Black/African American man, was tragically cut short in Flint, Michigan. On the afternoon of April 4th, Pounds was discovered inside a residence in the 6500 block of Cecil Drive, situated on the city's far north side. He had sustained gunshot wounds and was rushed to Hurley Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
