In the early morning hours of June 9, 2018, the life of 28-year-old Sherod Arthur-Lee Mason Lundy, a Black male, was tragically cut short in Flint, Michigan. Responding to reports of a shooting, Flint Police Department officers were dispatched to the Evergreen Regency Townhomes located off Lippincott Boulevard. Upon their arrival, they discovered Mr. Lundy suffering from gunshot wounds.
He was quickly transported to Hurley Medical Center for emergency treatment, but unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
Sherod, known for his warm smile and love for his family, was a father of three with another son on the way whom he was eagerly anticipating. A graduate of Beecher High School, he had also attended Mott Community College and was employed at Northgate Warehousing. His death was officially ruled a homicide, adding to the city's count of killings for that year. The investigation into the fatal shooting was launched immediately, with detectives seeking to piece together the events that led to the violence.
