Lequavis Marguan Williams, a 31-year-old male from Flint, Michigan, was shot and killed on the evening of Thursday, March 24, 2022. The shooting happened at approximately 6:35 p.m. while Williams was a passenger in a vehicle stopped at the intersection of Avenue A and East Baker Street in Flint.
Following the shooting, Williams was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he ultimately died from his injuries.
Fortunately, no one else in the vehicle with Williams was injured during the incident. In the immediate aftermath, law enforcement reported that the individuals responsible for the shooting had fled the scene.
Authorities later released a description of a vehicle of interest, a white Jeep Liberty, believed to be connected to the suspects. The Flint Police Department's Major Case Unit and Crime Stoppers have both sought information from the public regarding the fatal shooting. To date, there has been no public announcement of any arrests made or suspects identified in the ongoing investigation into the homicide of Lequavis Marguan Williams.
