In the early summer of 2017, the life of a vibrant and entrepreneurial young woman, Kanasha Shanae Thomas, was tragically cut short. On Sunday, June 4, 2017, the 21-year-old female was fatally wounded in a double shooting in her hometown of Flint, Michigan. Another male victim was also critically injured in the incident, which unfolded on the city's north side. Thomas was rushed to Hurley Medical Center, but succumbed to her injuries.
